EIP Teaser

May 25th, 2024

I've been continuing to work on new projects for the Playdate after releasing my previous project last July. I haven't had a lot of free time with which to work on a project like this, so it's been slow going. But it's come far enough that I thought it might be nice to post a little teaser for you all to see! Check it out... (view more)

Thy Dungeonman 1 & 2 for Playdate

July 16th, 2023

Hey everyone! I recently received my Playdate after a few years of waiting and I decided to start learning how to program games for the little device! Don't worry if you don't have one yourself, though, because you can still play my game using the free Playdate Simulator application that Panic has made publicly available in order to play it on your computer. It loses a bit of the charm over actually playing it on a physical device (especially because the original games are already available to play in their original Flash forms on the computer), but the option is still available to you if you want it... EIH and Persistence

December 27th, 2022

Hello folks! I have a new game available for you to play called EIH. For the first time there is both a mac option AND a windows option as well. Finally, those of you who only have a macbook can still be included! If you'd just like to check out the new game you can do so here, but if you want to read about the long road that brought me to this point of being able to release this game - that story continues below... Dokmus Randomizer

August 30th, 2022

Hello everyone! I've created another setup randomizer for a board game. This time the board game is Dokmus, and this time I have returned to the wild world of Android App development in order to release it! It functions much like my other randomizer apps for Android do, in that it randomizes the setup for the board game and has a few additional settings - like optional support for the Return of Erefel expansion - to go along with it... Wario Land 4: Parallel World Review

December 28th, 2021

Wario Land 4: Parallel World is the first full-fledged Wario Land 4 hack, coming in twenty years after the game's release. That's quite a time to wait for more content! But the wait was well worth it. Wario Land 4 is one of my favorite games of all time, and this hack immediately had me grinning ear to ear once I started it up... (view more)

Fifteen Years on the Web

September 28th, 2020

Hello again everyone. This time I am bringing you something old, rather than something new. It's 2020, and it is currently month six of a global pandemic that has more or less caused me to spend all that time locked up indoors. That's a lot of time to oneself, and it's only natural I would start reflecting on the years that brought us here at some point. In fact, I ended up digging through some old files and stumbled across a lot of things I thought were lost forever - including a ton of old posts and updates to this very websit... (view more)

Tiny Towns Randomizer Update

September 22nd, 2020

Hello again! This is just a quick update to say that I have updated the Tiny Towns randomizer. The randomizer now has support for the first expansion, Fortune, and the first promo cards released for it so far. I plan to update it again soon once I get my hands on the second expansion, Villagers, which should be releasing soon... (view more)

My Dominion Storage Solution

December 23rd, 2019

Hello everyone. Dominion is one of my absolute favorite games of all time, and it has been for many, many years. So many years that I have personally gone through a number of different storage solutions and other accessories for it! Today I am going to talk about my solution for storing all of these expansions for Dominion, how I got there, and the other accessories we use to play. I will be giving my recommendations along the way for various storage solutions, set-up methods, sleeves, etc. that I have tried over the last eight years or so of playing this game. Whether you are a Dominion veteran, or a new player looking for information, I hope you find this guide helpful... (view more)

Tiny Towns Randomizer!

December 5th, 2019

Hey everybody! I've been spending a lot of time playing a neat little board game called Tiny Towns. If it looks up your alley, I would definitely recommend it. Something I like to do from time to time is write little apps to randomize the setup for the board games I am a fan of. I started doing that back in college as a great way to learn new programming skills, while still working to solve a small problem in an area that is of interest to me... (view more)

New Website!

October 21st, 2019

Welcome to the new version of my website! I hope you like the new look. While the last version had been updated here and there over the past few years, the last major overhaul was performed when I was in my senior year of high school. For those counting, that was seven (!) years ago. As such, a new coat of paint (that was more responsive and looked nicer on devices of all sizes) was desperately neede... (view more)

Small Side Project!

March 5th, 2014

Hello again my loyal subset of friends, family, and that one internet stranger. Today I have a small update that will mean nothing to the most of you. I have spent a lot of time sharpening my Java skills in the past few months, and I took it upon myself to code a sufficient randomizer for Kingdom Builder, as none of the other ones I found were up to my standards of randomization. In doing so I learned a lot about Java swing applications and embedding applets in an html page. It was quite fun, really! I mean, aside from all the hours of frustration and head banging that always accompanies working with code when you don't know what you're doing and are trying to teach yourself... (view more)

Happy New Year!

January 5th, 2013

January 9th, 2012

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everybody! I finally got around to giving the site a much needed cleaning up. As you can see, the old Chat and Forum links up top have been removed from the site. Why? The Forums and the Chat site located there officially kicked the buckt on November 19, 2011, due to inactivity. Don't belive me? Check out this link to where the forums used to exist. August 29th, 2011

School, that is. I would make a post wrapping-up the summer and how the "I will post three times a week with regularly scheduled updates" thing went, but I kinda already did that and you guys know how that went - seeing as it's been more than a month since my last post. And now, with my senior year upon us, This website will most likely lie dormant until I've some new thing to share with the world. Feel free to check back once in awhile in case I sneak-update with something, but I'm not going to kid myself into thinking I'll still be updating with content regularly with the full-plate I have in terms of school and extracurricular activities this year. I'm actualy considering removing the forums/chat altogether, as they seem to serve no purpose now. But we'll see I suppose... (view more)

It's Here!

July 20th, 2011

Well, it's finally done. Mighty Dive Bomber, the faithful NES styled puzzle platformer is finally finished and available for download here. (Note: I'm on vacation right now and my internet connection is flimsy. On top of that, the programs I usually use to update my website with things like this are flipping out. So, with the game being a somewhat larger file, I am temporarily going to host it's download out-of-site, on MediaFire. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I will change it once I get this figured out. But at least this way, you can still download it.) Do it! Download it now! In my totally unbiased opinion I have to say this is by far the best game I've ever made - far better and more complete than anything I've made before it. I'm extremely proud of it. So please, for my sake, download it and play it! I'll update with more about it later and I'll update the game page then too. For now, just download it and play this wonderful new gem I've concocted for you good people of the Internet... (view more)

Yeah, I know, I didn'y update on Friday. I hsould have put up some kind of disclaimer, but I've been rather busy in real-life lately, and I chose to take some time off of trying to update everyday to focus on things like Mafia and Forever December instead. I do have some ideas for future updates I want to get to (Ocarina of Time, one of my favorite games ever, was recently re-released for the 3DS and you can bet your butt I'll be doing a review chock full of babbling fanboy praise in the near future), but until things settle back down in real life (weddings, weddings everywhere! And if you aren't - shame on you! You obviously follow along with my stuff enough to be reading this update today, so you might as well have signed up! You're missing out on what I think is going to be a very, very fun game. And hopefully if everyone likes it enough there will be a sequel, and you will have a second chance at being involved in the game firsthand. Despite the somewhat lack of content, this stuff is pretty cool if I don't say so myself. Spelling in the English Language

June 3rd, 2011

I know that one of my (many) weaknesses is my inability to spell words correctly. If you know me at all, you know that I'm a terrible speller, even at this ripe age of seventeen. As I continue to update this website regularly, this flaw is sure to show itself repeatedly, and spelling errors will be abundant throughout the archive. I want to take this time to give you a pre-emptory apology for this sure-fire happening. However, while I take responsiblity for this failure, I must insist that some words in the english language are spelled in a ridiculous fashion. I have reason to suspect that they are spelled this way solely to make me angry sometimes. Here's a list of five words that I've been notoriously bad with in the past and my suggestions on how any normal human being would have spelled them when they were first introduced to the english language... So New, It's Old!

November 20th, 2010

Well what do we have here? The grand re-opening of - The Tylor Zone 2010 2.0. Isn't it great? What's that you say? It looks almost exactly the same? Well, on the outside, sure, but on the inside.... man! What a difference! ...Yeah, so, okay, I know you don't care. But there are a couple of new things that might interest you for a few seconds before you get bored and leave again. Honest! For one, the clickable buttons up there are a little different. So if you were one of the people who spent a few hours clicking on them when The Tylor Zone 2010 first premiered, you'll probably be able to get some more enjoyment out of that now. And this time, they're made by me! Graphics and all! Oh, and a lot of the other page lay-outs are different (read: better). Honestly the biggest difference is just the fact that the entire things has been remade in html code, so the fact that it looks similar on the outside actually verifies that I succeded in what I set out to do. What this means for you however, is that I'l lwill probably update more, since updating will be much faster now that I completely understand how every nook and cranny of my site's code works - y'know, what with me being the one he typed each character of it and all. That's right ladies and gents, The Tylor Zone now not only has some forums, but also a chat feature, at least for the time being. I have the upmost confidence in the fact that absolutely no one will use it, but hey! Why not leave it there, just in case, right? I mean; this is the perfect way for you guys to prove me wrong! Unfortunately, you will have to register with the chat site in order to use it, but that shouldn't take too long, and I checked it out myself first and everything should be A-OK. In case your blind or something, it's the first button up there on the top now. Well, I gotta get back to vacationing now; bye y'all! Crazy vacation antics can still be found here for the rest of the week... (view more)

Homestar the Runner: Version 2.0

June 26th, 2010

Oh, another new game! Er... wait a minute... Purple Ninja was a remake of sorts... the Spelunky mods were edits from someone else's game... I think I see a pattern here. Oh, it's another cop out that I'll be passing off as a new game! If you don't remember Homestar the Runner, than that means you're not a member of my immediately family who I make check this website every few hours for new content and never played the original version back when I was doing those "Pocket Games." Oh the golden days of youth... anyway, I've revamped it a bit, and completely converted it from drag and drop code to spiffy GML code, which doesn't mean a lot to you, but is something that makes me giggle with glee. Give it a play or two and brag about your high score here... (view more)

Spelunky: Zombie Edition

June 8th, 2010

If you haven't played Spelunky yet, it's an insanely awesome FREE computer game you can find in my links section. It's a Rogue-like, which means it's different every time you play it, providing a fresh experience on each start up. However, unlike most Rogue-likes, Spelunky is a platformer. which makes it SUPER AWESOME.The best part is - it's made by one guy, in Game Maker, the same program I've been using to make all the games featured here on my website since way back to about 6th grade. I'm nowhere near as good as this Derek Yu guy, but the fact that he uses the same program as me, and now the same coding language as me, gives me hope that maybe one day I'll reach a level of programming knowledge to be slightly closer at making a game as awesome as this is. Anyway, like the nice gentleman that he is, Derek Yu recently released the Source Code for Spelunky, allowing GML noobs like me to study it and learn from it. And since I'm know able to write in and understand GML code quite a bit, I made a little project of modifying this game. Screenshots can be found below, as well as a more in depth description of the mod and a download link in the downloads section above. I hope you enjoy Spelunky: Zombie Edition, but if you haven't yet you really should play the original because it's far more fun and memorable... (view more)

Version 1.8 on May 8

May 8th, 2010

Another new version for all of yalls, more than slightly influenced by the rather crazy weather we've been having lately. Or maybe it was just the cool a friend showed me recently. regardless, this version again is to make it look cleaner and more professional. You know the drill by now for reporting bugs and glitches. More info on the game for those of you who haven't given it the download is located belo... (view more)

Game Update: Version 1.6

May 3rd, 2010

Make sure you have the latest version. If you downloaded it on Sunday or before 7:00 on Saturday, you may have a version that has more glitches and less polish on it. To check, you can scroll down to the bottom of the text that pops up at the very beginning of the game. In the small text at the bottom it should say that you are playing version 1.6. If not, re-download it to play the latest, hopeful final, glitch free version. Happy Playin... (view more)

New Version: 1.7

May 3rd, 2010

This version is not mandatory, but it should make the game easier overall. It includes the added ability to hold down the crouch button to scroll the screen downwards a few pixels, eliminating the need for the ugly chance-taking blind jumps. It also cleaned up a minor glitch present in version 1.6. Finally, Version 1.7 adds a full screen mode, so you can more clearly see the gameplay. Version 1.6 is still possible, but I would recommended downloading this version, if you haven't already, as it should be easier for yo... (view more)

Purple Ninja Mini-Episode: The All Knowing Eye

April 30th, 2010

A new minigame that serves as a preview of the game engine I've been working on coding for the last couple of months. All of the code in the game has been done completely by me and completely by scratch. The name comes from one of my very early game maker games from way back when I first started game making. It was ground breaking for me in many ways, but was not a very good game in terms of the graphics or in terms of the gameplay. I will include it with the new game for the sake of showing how far I've come. This new minigame is a way for me to get some feedback on this new engine I've create... (view more)

Here Are Some Forums to You Forum Me

April 13th, 2010

What's all this then? Forums? On MY website? Yes folks, it's true. Finally, a feature brand spanking new to those of you who have ever been to my older websites - the Forums. Go there, sign up, and talk about crap! I honestly don't expect it to be very active, but hey - if even just a few of my friends use it it might attract more attention, so at the least, please register and make your self an account in case you get really really bored sometime in the near future and wanna mess around on them. You won't regret i... (view more)

Get Down Low with the Downloads

April 12th, 2010

Well okay everybody everybody, the Downloads section should be up. There you'll find all of my old "Pocket Games," That used to be hosted here on the old site, as well as a few other gems created by, of course, The Tylor. It's somewhat empty now, but as time goes on and I have more to put up here, it'll go there. If you're looking for my art you'll find that in my Deviant Art account, and not in the downloads section. Feel free to drop me an email if you have any requests on other things you wish to see in the downloads section in the futur... (view more)

April 11th, 2010

The "About Tylor" section is up and the button is working, so feel free to check that out and read up on the heartbreaking story of discontent and accomplishment that splatters The Tylor's background. You can also see how The Tylor spends most of his time on the web by checking out the Links section which is mostly complete and fairly large. Have at it, kid... (view more)

The Tylor's First Words

April 10th, 2010

This is the new Tylor Zone. For now, there is not much here, but in a bit it should become a relatively weekly updated source of all things Tylor. If you can't wait to immerse yourself in the mystical culture that is The Tylor, might I suggest scouring the internet for all things Tylor, utilizing every tool available to you. Or you can stumble around in the confusing old site some more. Be patient, and chances are if you're on this webpage, you know The Tylor in real life, and he'll be more than eager to let you know when the updates have started poring in like some kind of biblically-proportioned flood.* Also, none of the above buttons work yet, but feel free to spend 30+ hours clicking them just for fun. I don't mind, really... (view more)
