I've been continuing to work on new projects for the Playdate after releasing my previous project last July. I haven't had a lot of free time with which to work on a project like this, so it's been slow going. But it's come far enough that I thought it might be nice to post a little teaser for you all to see! Check it out
... (view more)Hey everyone! I recently received my Playdate after a few years of waiting and I decided to start learning how to program games for the little device! Don't worry if you don't have one yourself, though, because you can still play my game using the free Playdate Simulator application that Panic has made publicly available in order to play it on your computer. It loses a bit of the charm over actually playing it on a physical device (especially because the original games are already available to play in their original Flash forms on the computer), but the option is still available to you if you want it
... (view more)Hello folks! I have a new game available for you to play called EIH. For the first time there is both a mac option AND a windows option as well. Finally, those of you who only have a macbook can still be included! If you'd just like to check out the new game you can do so here, but if you want to read about the long road that brought me to this point of being able to release this game - that story continues below
... (view more)Hello everyone! I've created another setup randomizer for a board game. This time the board game is Dokmus, and this time I have returned to the wild world of Android App development in order to release it! It functions much like my other randomizer apps for Android do, in that it randomizes the setup for the board game and has a few additional settings - like optional support for the Return of Erefel expansion - to go along with it

But the wait was well worth it. Wario Land 4 is one of my favorite games of all time, and this hack immediately had me grinning ear to ear once I started it up
... (view more)Hello again everyone. This time I am bringing you something old, rather than something new. It's 2020, and it is currently month six of a global pandemic that has more or less caused me to spend all that time locked up indoors. That's a lot of time to oneself, and it's only natural I would start reflecting on the years that brought us here at some point. In fact, I ended up digging through some old files and stumbled across a lot of things I thought were lost forever - including a ton of old posts and updates to this very websit

The randomizer now has support for the first expansion, Fortune, and the first promo cards released for it so far. I plan to update it again soon once I get my hands on the second expansion, Villagers, which should be releasing soon
... (view more)Hello everyone. Dominion is one of my absolute favorite games of all time, and it has been for many, many years. So many years that I have personally gone through a number of different storage solutions and other accessories for it! Today I am going to talk about my solution for storing all of these expansions for Dominion, how I got there, and the other accessories we use to play. I will be giving my recommendations along the way for various storage solutions, set-up methods, sleeves, etc. that I have tried over the last eight years or so of playing this game. Whether you are a Dominion veteran, or a new player looking for information, I hope you find this guide helpful
... (view more)Hey everybody! I've been spending a lot of time playing a neat little board game called Tiny Towns. If it looks up your alley, I would definitely recommend it. Something I like to do from time to time is write little apps to randomize the setup for the board games I am a fan of. I started doing that back in college as a great way to learn new programming skills, while still working to solve a small problem in an area that is of interest to me

While the last version had been updated here and there over the past few years, the last major overhaul was performed when I was in my senior year of high school. For those counting, that was seven (!) years ago. As such, a new coat of paint (that was more responsive and looked nicer on devices of all sizes) was desperately neede

... (view more)Hello again my loyal subset of friends, family, and that one internet stranger. Today I have a small update that will mean nothing to the most of you. I have spent a lot of time sharpening my Java skills in the past few months, and I took it upon myself to code a sufficient randomizer for Kingdom Builder, as none of the other ones I found were up to my standards of randomization. In doing so I learned a lot about Java swing applications and embedding applets in an html page. It was quite fun, really! I mean, aside from all the hours of frustration and head banging that always accompanies working with code when you don't know what you're doing and are trying to teach yourself

I know there hasn't been any new content in a little while due to me having to focus a lot of my free time into my schoolwork during my first semester at college, but things are looking up! As you can see, the old Chat and Forum links up top have been removed from the site. Why? The Forums and the Chat site located there officially kicked the buckt on November 19, 2011, due to inactivity. Don't belive me? Check out this link to where the forums used to exist. If this news fills you with any amount of remorse, know that each and every one of you are fully to blame for this occurence, as even one post from any of you would have kept the thing alive for another month or so

I would make a post wrapping-up the summer and how the "I will post three times a week with regularly scheduled updates" thing went, but I kinda already did that and you guys know how that went - seeing as it's been more than a month since my last post. And now, with my senior year upon us, This website will most likely lie dormant until I've some new thing to share with the world. Feel free to check back once in awhile in case I sneak-update with something, but I'm not going to kid myself into thinking I'll still be updating with content regularly with the full-plate I have in terms of school and extracurricular activities this year. I'm actualy considering removing the forums/chat altogether, as they seem to serve no purpose now. But we'll see I suppose

(Note: I'm on vacation right now and my internet connection is flimsy. On top of that, the programs I usually use to update my website with things like this are flipping out. So, with the game being a somewhat larger file, I am temporarily going to host it's download out-of-site, on MediaFire. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and I will change it once I get this figured out. But at least this way, you can still download it.) Do it! Download it now! In my totally unbiased opinion I have to say this is by far the best game I've ever made - far better and more complete than anything I've made before it. I'm extremely proud of it. So please, for my sake, download it and play it! I'll update with more about it later and I'll update the game page then too. For now, just download it and play this wonderful new gem I've concocted for you good people of the Internet

I hsould have put up some kind of disclaimer, but I've been rather busy in real-life lately, and I chose to take some time off of trying to update everyday to focus on things like Mafia and Forever December instead. I do have some ideas for future updates I want to get to (Ocarina of Time, one of my favorite games ever, was recently re-released for the 3DS and you can bet your butt I'll be doing a review chock full of babbling fanboy praise in the near future), but until things settle back down in real life (weddings, weddings everywhere! And hopefully if everyone likes it enough there will be a sequel, and you will have a second chance at being involved in the game firsthand. I want to take this time to give you a pre-emptory apology for this sure-fire happening. However, while I take responsiblity for this failure, I must insist that some words in the english language are spelled in a ridiculous fashion. I have reason to suspect that they are spelled this way solely to make me angry sometimes. So while I hunt for a new computer and get things resettled, please bare with me - after that, I think I might upload a beta version of a new game I was working on before my computer started acting up. But there are a couple of new things that might interest you for a few seconds before you get bored and leave again. Honest! For one, the clickable buttons up there are a little different. So if you were one of the people who spent a few hours clicking on them when The Tylor Zone 2010 first premiered, you'll probably be able to get some more enjoyment out of that now. And this time, they're made by me! Graphics and all! Oh, and a lot of the other page lay-outs are different (read: better). Honestly the biggest difference is just the fact that the entire things has been remade in html code, so the fact that it looks similar on the outside actually verifies that I succeded in what I set out to do. What this means for you however, is that I'l lwill probably update more, since updating will be much faster now that I completely understand how every nook and cranny of my site's code works - y'know, what with me being the one he typed each character of it and all. I'm nowhere near as good as this Derek Yu guy, but the fact that he uses the same program as me, and now the same coding language as me, gives me hope that maybe one day I'll reach a level of programming knowledge to be slightly closer at making a game as awesome as this is. Anyway, like the nice gentleman that he is, Derek Yu recently released the Source Code for Spelunky, allowing GML noobs like me to study it and learn from it. And since I'm know able to write in and understand GML code quite a bit, I made a little project of modifying this game. Screenshots can be found below, as well as a more in depth description of the mod and a download link in the downloads section above. I don't mind, really
